Herkomst "familiewapen" en naam.
Van G.H. Quellhorst ontving ik een foto van het wapen zoals het op een zegelring staat, zie bovenste foto.
De middelste foto, waarschijnlijk het origineel, kreeg ik van iemand uit Duitsland, wiens oma een Quellhorst was.
Twee dezelfde onderwerpen uit twee landen.
De herkomst van het Quellhorst familiewapen
Het originele familiewapen is gemaakt
tussen 1400 en 1700
Als u het familiewapen als een kleurenimage wilt ontvangen, stuur mij dan een mailtje en vertel b.v. wat u er mee wilt doen. Graag ontvang ik later een foto van uw creatie. Attentie: u moet wel een goed mailadres vermelden. sommige mailadressen accepteren geen files groter dan 1 Mb.
Onderstaande foto is in het bezit van G.H. Quellhorst.
In een oude boerderij is ook een inscriptie op een balk gevonden, verwijzend naar de familie Quellhorst. Deze boerderij dateerde uit 1400 en is thans gesloopt.
In 2000 is G. Quellhorst uit Ohio, USA, tijdens zijn vakantie in Nederland ook in Duitsland wezen kijken. Hierbij maakte hij onderstaande foto van het familiewapen in beton. Dit was verwerkt in een muur, ergens in het dorp Quellhorst, op dit moment deel uitmakend van de “Samtgemeinte Uchte” in Nieder-Sacksen, Duitsland.
Na informatie op enkele Duitse sites kwam ik bij een heraldische site. Na vragen over het hoe en wat m.b.t. het familiewapen kreeg ik na een tijdje onderstaande mail:

coats of arms we would date on the nineteenth century, it must however to an
older collecting main decrease, since the meaning of "Horst" was probably
already unknown around 1800. The Germanistik/Etymologie is a relatively new
science, around 1880, the original of the coat of arms however beforehand was
painted developed. Under reservation we would date the time of origin of the
coat of arms on approximately around 1700. Whereupon the unheraldic
representation method points. Because of o.a. reasons we think for a quite
authentic coat of arms that by one of your ancestors with a around-pulling coat
of arms painter in job one gave. At some expenditure one could find out also the
emergence year and the manufacturer/painter of the coat of arms. Most pattern
books of this travelers coat of arms painters are today still received. The name
"Quellhorst" is actually westfaelisch - niederdeutschen origin.

Ook is bekend dat in het “Staatsarchive Niedersaksen” in Hannover behoorlijk veel aanwezig is m.b.t. het plaatsje en de familienaam Quellhorst. Hierzal ook best gegevens tussen zitten m.b.t. het familiewapen. Bekend is ook dat de stapel dossiers ruim twee meter hoog is. Iemand zal dus meerdere dagen in dit archief moeten zoeken alvorens er gegevena naar boven komen. Nadeel is ook nog eens dat alles is geschreven in Oud-Duits, een taal die slechts weinigen kunnen lezen.
Het wachten is dus op het moment dat iemand zich zozeer in de materie heeft verdiept, dat hij hier minimaal een week voor over heeft.
Aangezien er niets bekend is heb ik via enkele Duitse sites zelf een invulling gegeven aan de kleuren. Na het zoeken naar een atelier is door hen onderstaand bord gemaakt.
